HapNear is operated by Grodify LLC (“HapNear,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the HapNear mobile application, website, and related support services.
1. Information we collect
Account information
We collect the email address used to create an account, an internal account identifier, and authentication information handled by our authentication provider. We do not receive or store your plain-text password.
Location information
With your permission, the app uses precise location to show nearby results. You may instead choose a location manually. A selected location and distance preference may be stored with your account so the experience remains consistent.
Activity and preferences
We store categories, notification choices, followed businesses, saved offers or businesses, and recent business views when needed to provide those features.
Business and user-provided content
Business owners may provide a business name, address, contact details, hours, website, social links, photos, logo, menu, offers, updates, and verification evidence. Users may submit reports and support requests.
Device and technical information
If you enable notifications, we store an Apple push notification token linked to your account. We may process limited security and operational logs needed to protect the service and diagnose failures. HapNear does not use advertising trackers.
2. How we use information
- Provide authentication, discovery, maps, saved items, follows, notifications, and support.
- Review and manage business verification.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, fake listings, and unauthorized publishing.
- Maintain service reliability, security, and legal compliance.
3. When information is shared
We use service providers to operate HapNear, including Apple for app distribution and push notifications, Google Maps Platform for maps and place search, and Supabase for hosted authentication, database, storage, and server functions. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
We may disclose information when legally required, to protect users or the service, or as part of a corporate transaction with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Public business information
Approved business profiles and published business content are intended to be public. Verification evidence and private account details are not displayed publicly.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. You may delete your account inside the iOS app through Account → Settings or Privacy → Delete Account. Account-linked consumer data is deleted with the account, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal retention needs. Public business records may require a separate review when business ownership or legal obligations must be preserved.
6. Your choices
You can deny or revoke location and notification permission in iOS Settings. You can update categories, distance, and notification preferences in HapNear; unfollow businesses; remove saved items; contact support; and request account deletion in the app.
7. Security
HapNear uses encrypted network connections, access controls, row-level database security, ownership rules, and restricted administrative processes. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we design the service to limit access and reduce unnecessary data collection.
8. Children
HapNear is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us through the support page.
9. Changes and contact
